Christiana Awuni, a renowned Kumawood actress, has responded to Oboy Siki’s recent disparaging comments about the industry. Awuni believes that Siki’s harsh words stem from his current irrelevance in the industry. She suggests that Siki’s lack of job opportunities has led to his negative remarks.
According to Awuni, Siki’s career has stalled, and he is no longer getting the recognition or gigs he once had. This, she claims, has driven him to criticise the industry that once celebrated him. Awuni bluntly states that Siki has retired and is now bitter about his own diminished status.
Awuni’s comments come in response to Siki’s recent statements, in which he disparaged the Kumawood industry.
“Oboy Siki is currently irrelevant. All he is left with is what he is doing. He keeps talking but people are always working. He is not being called and that pushes him to say the things he says.
But whatever he does, he cannot do anything. Someone who is always eating and living with dead people should not be given a listening ear. He is a devil among humans. We won’t stress over him because we all know we should not give him a listening ear.
He is retired and so if you are new and you follow such a person you have a problem. He said he will die this year so that is what we are waiting for,” she said.
Christiana Awuni used the opportunity to call on investors to consider investing in the industry and not listen to the vile expressed by some people who have eaten big from the industry.
