Award-winning Ghanaian recording and performing artiste, Kuami Eugene has exposed tales that he takes tunes from others.
The highlife and Afropop artiste Kuami Eugene has been blamed a few times for taking melodies from different craftsmen without giving them any credits.
Kuami Eugene made this revelation while reacting to Citi FM’s Kwame Dadzie’s inquiries during an exceptional listening interview for his impending EP named Afro-highlife.
According to Eugene, his supervisory group doesn’t trifle with copyright infringement. He said the right owners of each piece appropriately are recognized to keep away from any future issues.
He clarified further that his record mark Lynx entertainment has gone through the important cycles to acquire privileges to deliver his present song named “Tena Fie” on his current project.
Kuami Eugene has been blamed many times for stealing melodies from musicians. A Nigerian artiste recognized as Ottomi Patrick Akhere otherwise called Oduma Essan sued Kuami Eugene for purportedly taking his songs.
The Nigerian craftsman hauled Kuami Eugene to the Accra High Court for taking his melody. The craftsman blamed Kuami Eugene for taking the idea and components of his single “Show Body” in July 2020″.
