Two constituents of Akuapem North, Joseph Ahwireng-Danquah and Patrick Boi Akuffo-Kumih, have submitted a petition to the Akuapem Municipal Assembly.
Their request is for the assembly to provide detailed information regarding the utilization of the Member of Parliament’s (MP) share of the common fund.
The petitioners are specifically seeking a breakdown of the funds allocated to the MP for the years 2021, 2022, and 2023.
Additionally, they are interested in knowing the specific programs, projects, and activities that these funds have been utilized for within the constituency.
They also request to be informed about the communities and individuals who have benefited from these projects and programs.
In addition to their inquiries about the funds and their allocation within the constituency, the petitioners express their dissatisfaction with the lack of engagement from the Member of Parliament, Hon. Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah-Adjei, towards her constituents.
