Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus is challenging the Christian Council of Ghana to ban gospel musicians, Diana Asamoah and Cecilia Marfo from preaching since they are only confusing people with their poor knowledge of the word of God.

Speaking on United Showbiz on UTV on Saturday and monitored by Graphic Showbiz, A Plus, who recently announced that he has quit music, noted that the two musicians were just playing with the name of God and making Christianity unattractive.

“I believe that there’s only one God with different intermediaries. The Christians go through God through Jesus Christ, Muslims through Mohammed, Buddhists through Buddha.

“As a traditionalist, I believe that before the white man came, our forefathers prayed to God through our gods but we are condemning on our own.

“Look at what Cecilia Marfo and Diana Asamoah are doing? They shouldn’t preach again because they are confusing people. They have made Christianity unattractive and are just playing with the name of Jesus Christ. They are using it for their selfish interest,” he stated.

Last week, Cecilia Marfo became a subject of discussion on social media when a video of her crying over how her church members reduced from 400 to 40 following attacks on her by politician, Kennedy Agyapong and Afia Schwarzenneger years ago.

But while many expected people especially her colleagues in the Lord’s fold to side with her, Evangelist Diana Asamoah rather condemned her actions, insinuating that she was only courting public sympathy. (More articles on Diana AsamoahDiana Asamoah: Men want me but I turn them down because of God’s work, Diana Asamoah: I’m not experiencing any economic hardship)

According to A Plus, it will rather do the public lots of good to have Cecilia Marfo’s church closed down just like many other “elements in the system” who have been forced into doing God’s work because of hunger and poverty.

“Hunger and poverty are forcing people into Ministry and that is why the government must close Cecilia Marfo’s church. There are lots of such elements in the system that won’t be allowed to operate in a civilised society,” A [Plus stated.
