Kwaku Manu, a renowned Kumawood actor, has strongly criticized the Ghanaian leaders for the deplorable state of the creative arts industry in the country.
According to the actor, the leaders of Ghana fail to grasp the immense power and potential that lies within the realm of creativity.
During an interview with MFK on Oyerepa Entertainment Review, Kwaku Manu fearlessly expressed his views, stating:
“I have never seen a minister who has come to meet the players in the movie industry.
Some are making money from creative art. We are making movies here, but if you ask a little boy about Jubilee House, the person can’t tell you. Go to America; their White House is well known in the world because of movies.
In Ghana, you can’t pose around Flagstaff House to take a picture. I have realized that Ghanaians do not understand creative art.” He lamented
Kwaku Manu passionately argued that creativity is not just a means of entertainment, but rather a powerful catalyst for driving change and progress.
