Popular gospel musician, Brother Sammy has jabbed his colleague musician Ernest Opoku over how his ’20th Year In Music’ event nearly fell on rocks despite inviting several musicians and celebrities.
Recall that, Ernest Opoku commemorated his 20th Year In Music on March 26, 2023, at the Bantama Church of Pentecost in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital.
But Brother Sammy in an interview on Oyerepa TV’s entertainment review hosted by, MFK, said if he hadn’t attended the big event, it would have flopped completely.
According to Brother Sammy, despite many musicians and celebrities gracing the occasion, his electric performance and presence lit it up and made it a splendid one.
“Everyone who attended [Ernest Opoku’s] program can testify that, I made the event a great one. Although a lot of musicians attended it, I made it big.”
Debunking claims that, he wasn’t invited to the occasion, Brother Sammy indicated that, he was billed on Ernest’s 20th year in music program. Even before the event, Ernest sent some elderly people to beg him to attend the occasion.
“Why would he put me on his billboard if he didn’t invite me?
He[Ernest Opoku] and a couple of chiefs came to my house and begged me to attend the program. He realized that his program could fall if he hadn’t invited me. Truly speaking, when I accepted and attended the program, he saw that I made it a big event.”
Brother Sammy is set to launch his music album titled, ‘Masan Awura Mu Biom’ on Sunday, April 23 2023 at the Kumasi Cultural Center, 2 PM. The album contains 15 songs.
Several celebrities according to the ‘Samaria Obaa No’ hitmaker will attend the album launch.
