Stephen Kwabena Siaw, better known as Ayesem, a Ghanaian recording artist, has revealed his decision to change his hairstyle and wear dreadlocks.
“The barbering salon inspired my new hairstyle. At times I feel that going for an event to perform I need to go and trim my hair,” he stated in a recent interview.
He added “But I’m the type or someone who doesn’t just go for to shave my head at any barbering salon at all because I have a barber that I trust who knows the style that I want”
He remarked, “So when my barber is not around and I need to try some other people… to me I feel that I’m taking a risk and besides I travelled to the UK”.
Speaking in a one-on-one interview, the ‘Koti’ hitmaker revealed that he started doing dreadlocks because when he travelled to the United Kingdom (UK) he didn’t get the right barber.
“I was there for a long and I saw that I had bushy hair but I didn’t get the right barbers in the UK to trim my hair so that was when I started locking it because I felt it was my natural hair,” he stated on Kastle FM.
