Dancehall artiste Epixode has revealed that he designed the Shatta movement logo. But his colleague, Shatta Wale, has never given him credit for his work.
Epixode, born Theophilus Nii Arday Otoo, is a reggae dancehall recording and performing artist, graphic designer, creative director, and fine arts painter.
“I designed the Shatta movement logo, which I’m proud of. Yeah, you’ve just heard it. Look at the merchandise that has come out of that thing. I didn’t take a dime from him because he’s my godfather. Have you ever heard him speak about it? No.
“I’ve heard him, on countless occasions, say that the logo was designed in London. Meanwhile, I did everything,” he told Christian Agyei Frimpong on Onua FM’s Anigye mmere show.
He added that because he’s not appreciated for his works, he’s putting all his efforts into his craft.
“So, now for me to go out of my way to design a thing for another person, I will think twice about it. I will rather put all my energy into myself.”
The award-winning dancehall act Epixode is out with a new banger dubbed “Atia”. The song talks about gorgeous African women.
