President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema of Gabon has arrived in Ghana for an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and deepening cooperation between the two countries.

The Gabonese leader was welcomed at the Accra International Airport with a ceremonial guard of honour mounted by personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces.

President Nguema is expected to hold high-level discussions with President John Dramani Mahama at the Presidency as part of efforts to enhance collaboration between Ghana and Gabon.

The talks are expected to focus on key areas including trade, economic cooperation, regional security, and efforts to promote unity and integration across the African continent.

Before his official engagements, President Nguema visited the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park in Accra, where he paid tribute to Ghana’s first President and renowned Pan-Africanist, Dr Kwame Nkrumah.

The visit forms part of ongoing diplomatic engagements between Ghana and other African countries aimed at strengthening partnerships and advancing shared interests on the continent.
