Flagbearer of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Pastor Dr. Christian Kwabena Andrews has stated that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia who has been elected flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) lacks practical life experience to lead Ghana.
The GUM leader who is popularly called Osofo Kyiriabosom argued that Dr. Bawumia has not suffered in life because he worked with Bank of Ghana and then became the Vice President.
He went on to say that looking at the way Dr. Bawumia and his NPP government have mishandled the country with him as the leader of the Economic Management Team achieving next to nothing, it is enough to say Bawumia can’t be a good president.
“Bawumia is not an experienced person to lead the country. When you talk of intelligence, it comes through wandering, suffering, working tirelessly, going through hardships without which you cannot be a very good intellectual person” he told Blakk Rasta on the 3FM Urban Blend Show.
According to him, the political leaders of Ghana over the years lied to Ghanaians that they wanted to save the country but their actions have shown clearly that they came in to save themselves.
The GUM leader lamented that the loans that Ghanaian governments have taken all over the years are used for consumption instead of creating jobs for the youth through industrialization and value addition to Ghana’s natural resources.
“What I am going to tell Ghanaians is that it is time to come back to our senses. These leaders that come telling us they are here to save Ghana are not ready to save Ghana. They rather come to embezzle our money, leave the office and leave us debts” Osofo Kyiriabosom admonished.
“It’s not that I want to be President. My main idea is to save this country because we have nowhere to go, this is our land and God brought me to Ghana to save this country” he added.
Pastor Christian Kwabena Andrews has further called on all well-meaning Ghanaians especially the youth to change their mindset and come together to collaborate with him to rise up and save the country.
