A devastating incident has occurred at Offinso Abofour resulting in the tragic death of a young man named Alhaji, popularly known as the Blue, a native of Offinso Abofour Zongo.
According to eyewitnesses who spoke with Oyerepa News’ Dominic Duut, Alhaji’s phone went missing in his room, leading him to search for it.
He received a tip that Seth, popularly known as Tunchi, whom he shares his room with, had been seen with the device.
Alhaji approached Tunchi at a gaming centre behind Abofour new market to inquire about his phone, but a misunderstanding ensued.
Tragically, Seth pulled out a knife and stabbed Alhaji in the stomach. Alhaji was rushed to Abofour House of Hope Hospital by bystanders.
Despite efforts to save him, the medical team confirmed that Alhaji had passed away before arriving at the hospital.
The suspect is currently in custody at the Abofour Police Station, where a large crowd of angry residents from Abofour Zongo gathered, demanding instant justice for Alhaji’s family.
