A leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Region, Afrifa Yamoah Ponko, has said that his party cannot win the 2024 general election without Asiedu Nketia as national chairman.
The opposition party is holding its national delegate conference at the Accra Sports Stadium to elect its national executive.
The NDC’s general secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia is seeking to unseat the incumbent national chairman of the party, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo.
Speaking with Kwesi Parker-Wilson at the congress, the former MCE for Ejisu Juaben said the NDC members are yelling for Asiedu Nketia to lead the party to the 2024 elections.
“The NDC people are yelling for Asiedu Nketia to lead the party. They believe he has the capacity to lead the party to victory in 2024. There’s no way Asiedu Nketia can’t win.” He stated.
