A tragic collision between two aboboyaa tricycles has occurred at the intersection of Anyinasusu and Camp Road in the Offinso South Constituency.
The accident, which happened due to poor road conditions and lack of reflective signage, has claimed the lives of three individuals.
According to eyewitnesses, one tricycle was transporting roofing boards from Camp, while the other was carrying passengers from Anyinasusu.
The driver from Camp reportedly missed the road and collided with the oncoming tricycle, resulting in the tragic loss of life.
The victims, aged 34, 55, and 45 years, died instantly leaving the rest in critical condition. Mr. Ibrahim Iddrisu said, “This incident marks the first recorded accident at this location this year, but unfortunately, it’s not an isolated incident. Numerous accidents have occurred at this spot due to the poor road conditions and inadequate signage after the construction of the roads.”
Mr. Ibrahim Iddrisu urges the relevant authorities to take immediate action to improve road safety in the area. Our condolences go out to the families of the victims.
