The National Women’s Organizer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Hannah Bisiw, has called on the youth in the Ahafo Region to vote massively for John Dramani Mahama and the NDC in the upcoming elections.
Speaking during a five-day tour of the region, Dr. Bisiw highlighted Mahama’s commitment to addressing the pressing issue of unemployment in Ghana through the Free Apprenticeship program.
Under this initiative, the NDC government plans to pay training fees for apprentices and provide them with monthly allowances, tools, and equipment to enable them to start their businesses.
Dr. Bisiw emphasized that this program aims to empower women and provide them with access to capital and resources, enabling them to start and grow their businesses, create jobs, and contribute to Ghana’s economic development.
Additionally, Dr. Bisiw announced that the proposed Women’s Development Bank would focus on providing financial services and support to women after the apprenticeship program, making it easier for them to access loans.
She assured the artisans, masters, and market women at Nkaseim in the Asutifi South District that Mahama’s government is committed to uplifting women and creating a brighter future for all Ghanaians.
