Actor and TV presenter, Bishop Wofa Lumba has slammed the executives of the Creative Arts Industry.
According to him, the president of creative art and his executives have failed to sit down and wait for the Inspector General of Police, (IGP) to counsel celebrities on their behaviuors in the country.
The IGP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare held a private meeting with stakeholders in the creative industry on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at the Police Headquarters in Accra. The meeting comes on the back of the trial of two popular artistes, Shatta Wale and Medikal for falling foul of the law.
Reacting to the encounter in an interview with Tofiakwa, host of Oyerepa TV, ‘Tie Bi’ show, Friday, the actor said ” Dampare should be made President of Creative Art Industry and no other individual because “current executives of the industry have completely failed.”
“If you sit down as creative art industry president or executive and wait for the IGP to direct celebrItIes on what to do, then what’re your duty as executives… it shows you have failed” He stated.
Wofa Lumba believes bloggers in the country are also causing problems for celebrates with their false publications.
“..Like Shatta Wale said… some bloggers write stories about celebrities that are not factual…. I’m pleading with the IGP, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare to check the conduct of some bloggers in the country. If they give caption to story and it’s not true that blogger has to be arrested”. He stated.
