A disturbing case of alleged sexual abuse has emerged involving a 16-year-old boy known as James 16 from Twifo Praso in the Central Region, who has accused his friend, Ben, a resident of Kumasi, of repeatedly sleeping with him under false pretences.
James shared his ordeal on Oyerepa Afutuo, a popular radio show hosted by Auntie Naa on Oyerepa FM, which focuses on social justice and family-related issues.
Speaking live on air, the teenager recounted how he travelled to Kumasi in search of employment. According to him, Ben had promised to help him find a job and invited him to stay at his home while arrangements were made.
However, James alleged that once he moved in, Ben began sexually abusing him.
“I thought I was coming to Kumasi to work and earn a living,” James said. “But Ben kept sleeping with me. It happened multiple times. I didn’t know what to do.”
In a dramatic moment during the broadcast, Ben was contacted live on the show, where he admitted to committing the crime.
He, however, cried bitterly for forgiveness.
