The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia has disclosed that his party has no group with the name Eagle Eye.
In his engagement with Nana Yaw Mensah Joel on Oyerepa Breakfast Show, Asiedu Nketia stressed the fact that NDC as a party does not recognize such a group in its books.
“This is not a recognized group within our party and we as a party have not set up a committee for the investigation of some misconduct of some party executives,” he said.
However, he accepted the fact that a group with the tag ‘Eagle Eye’ came to him at his office to present a petition but unfortunately, he couldn’t receive the petition from the group, because per the constitution of the NDC not every group can just walk into the party’s office and present a petition to him in the capacity as the General Secretary.
Meanwhile, he explained that it is not in the party’s constitution that everyone can walk in to present a petition at any given time.
Although the party allows individuals to file for petition against everyone premised on the fact that it is based on concrete evidence before he can process the document for investigation.
“The party allows individuals to petition on issues of the party’s interest” he stated.
