Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) President, Rev Father Stephen Owusu Sekyere who doubles as Headmaster for Opoku Ware School has hinted that there is indeed a food shortage within some Senior High Schools (SHS) in Ghana.
This comes following the Food shortage currently hitting high schools across the country.
Speaking to the issue on Oyerepa Breakfast Show hosted by Nana Yaw Mensah Joel, the CHASS president said, they have been told to go to their banks to check their accounts for their money which some schools have confirmed they have received alerts.
However, Opoku Ware school has received some food items but not enough. He added that most schools are yet to be supplied with food as there are some regions like Oti and Eastern regions that have not received food items for this new academic year.
He however appealed to all parents to give them the necessary support as they are doing all they can to make sure their wards are well fed.
