Mr. Samuel Pyne, popularly known as Sam Pyne has been confirmed by the Assembly members as the Chief Executive (Mayor) of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly.
He obtained 94.5% after a total vote cast of 58.
At the election held at Prempeh Assembly Hall, the nominee secured a comfortable confirmation.
A total of 60 assembly members were expected to turn up for the election, however, due to ill health two of the members could not make it.
After counting of ballot papers, the nominee secured 55 YES votes, while 3 persons voted NO.
