Former Deputy Health Minister, Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye, has been appointed the Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).
A letter sighted by Peacefmonline.com confirm that President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed the former Deputy Minister, who was also a former Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku constituency, pursuant to ”Section 14(1) of the National Health Insurance Act, 2021 (Act 852)”.
The letter issued and signed by the Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare read; ”I am pleased to inform you that President has appointed you to act as the Chief Executive of the National Health Insurance Authority (the ”Authority”), pending receipt of the constitutionally required advice of the governing board of the Authority, given in consultation with the Public Services Commission.”
The appointment takes effect Tuesday, 3rd May, 2022.
