The Children’s Ministry of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana is set to celebrate its hundred year’s anniversary this year.
The commemoration is on theme: “Hundred years of children service and beyond; Christ our example.”
The centenary anniversary is expected to be marked in all Presbyterian churches across the country on Sunday, November 21, 2021. However the national event would be held in Accra at the Osu Ebenezer congregation, Mr Stephen Forkuo Kwarteng, the National President of Presbytery Children Ministry has hinted.
Speaking to Oyerepa Online, Mr Forkuo Kwarteng declared that, the Church is poised to uplift the moral aspect of the children after the centenary celebration. The church is looking forward to giving children proper training to have a better future.
“We Presbyterian want to uplift the morale aspect of our children. We are pacesetters in terms of discipline so we are looking forward to give our children proper training to have a better future.”
He said that “the church has a policy for the children’s ministry; we are training all teachers to mentor these little ones.”
The President unveiled that; the Presbyterian Church is hoping to get a place of worship for the Children’s service in every Presbyterian Church in Ghana. As a result, they have started building pavilions in all presbyteries in Ghana.
“We’re hoping that every Presbyterian Church in Ghana will get a place of worship for our children so we have started building pavilions in all presbyteries in Ghana.
According to him, the church is going to create a website to upload and publish all the necessary information needed for the children’s education.
“We are in the technological world and we want to change our methods of teachings, so we’re also creating a website to upload and publish all the necessary information needed for the children’s education.”
He subsequently advised parents to serve as a good example to their children.
