The Ghana Police Service has made significant progress in addressing post-election violence, with 123 suspects arrested in connection with disturbances.
Of these, 49 have been arraigned in court, with 16 granted court bail and 33 remanded into Police and prison custody to reappear later.
Additionally, 70 suspects have been granted Police inquiry bail, complying with constitutional requirements. The Police Service has also clarified misinformation surrounding the whereabouts of Mr. Abraham Ato Anan, Efutu constituency Vice Chairman for NDC.
According to ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Mr. Anan is in good health, with his family, and in contact with the police for further investigations.
The Ghana Police Service remains committed to ensuring public safety and transparency during this post-election period.
