The Member of Parliament for Nsuta Kwaman Beposo Constituency, Hon.Adelaide Ntim visited the Kantamanto Market on January 11, 2025, to offer support and solidarity to traders from Nsuta Kwaman Beposo Constituency who were affected by the devastating fire incident that swept through the market on January 2, 2025.
As an immediate relief and intervention, she donated a whopping amount of GHC50,000 to assist those impacted and promised to return later with more support.
The money being offered was particularly donated to support over 100 victims from Nsuta Kwaman Beposo Constituency that lost their properties through the fire incident to revamp their businesses, as she pledged ongoing assistance to help them rebuild their lives.
The fire, which started in the early hours of Tuesday morning, destroyed over 500 shops in one of Africa’s largest secondhand clothing hubs, leaving traders grappling with significant losses.
During her visit, the promise fulfilling MP, Hon.Adelaide Ntim empathised with the victims and assured them of her continued support.
Mr Adjei Amponsah, popularly known as Alaska, who’s the chairman for Nsuta Kwaman Beposo traders in Kantamanto, utilizes the opportunity to expressed gratitude to Hon.Adelaide Ntim for her swift response to their plea, they promised to lend any support to her administration whenever the needs arise.
They called on the government to expedite efforts to restore their livelihoods, as Kantamanto remains a critical economic hub for thousands in Ghana and beyond.
