The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has assured Ghanaians of a smooth transition, stating they will not be a disruptive opposition following the 2024 general elections.
Dr Bawumia emphasised that the NPP will seek to support policies that benefit the nation, rather than engaging in actions that could destabilise the country.
He entreated supporters to embrace peace and unity, stressing that the party’s role as the opposition would be to hold the government accountable, without undermining the democratic process.
Dr Bawumia further called on all Ghanaians to collaborate for the country’s development and to put national interest above partisan politics.
“I want to assure him (Mahama) and Ghanaians that we will not be a disruptive opposition but we will do a thorough job and our MPs will do a good for Ghana,” he assured.
