Former Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Obiri Boahen, says the party should emulate the National Democratic Congress ( NDC) in ensuring that their people get what they deserve for working for the party.
Former President Mahama is said to have had an engagement with Lawyers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Saturday, September 2 2023.
Addressing this group of NDC Lawyers President Mahama accused President Akufo-Addo and the NPP of plugging the Judiciary with NPP-inclined judges.
Former President Mahama further alleged that President Nana Akufo-Addo had deliberately appointed
NPP inclined judges to the bench in order to have them cover up for him when he is out of office.
The Former Deputy General Secretary of the NPP speaking on Oyerepa Breakfast Show Monday, explained that NDC as a party has always felt the need to help their party members and has made sure they are never left behind.
“NDC as a party has always made sure their members are fed and none neglected…
At the slightest opportunity, they are always ready to help their party members and I think NPP can also learn from that”
Look, I am not saying NPP is not doing that but what I’m saying is that they (NDC) are doing it more than we do ” he said.
Mr Obiri Boahen again added that he knows some NDC supporters who are still at the high court while their own party members are not.
“I know some NDC supporters who are still at the High Court and Appeal court and they are sympathisers of the NDC
…I don’t want to go beyond a certain point in this matter ” he stated.
While the Former President encouraged his people to look at careers on the bench so that they can balance out when they take over power the former Deputy General Secretary also urged the NPP as a party to try and learn something from what they are doing and not neglecting their own party supporters by making some sympathisers of the opposition party occupy some positions in the country.
