The Member of Parliament [MP] for Old Tafo Constituency in the Ashanti Region,Vincent Ekow Assafuah has endorsed the candidature of Dr Mahamadu Bawumia as the flagbearer for the ruling New Patriotic Party in the impending 2024 elections.
According to the lawmaker, the Vice President Dr Bawumia is competent and has been loyal to the party over the years and it is high time the NPP rewarded Bawumia’s loyalty and long service by giving him the nod to lead the party to victory in the 2024 general polls
Speaking on Oyerepa Breakfast Show hosted by Nana Yaw Mensah Joel, Assefuah declared his endorsement for the Vice President,stating apparently that Bawumia is the best bet to break the eight for the elephant party.
“When we talk of Long Service, Loyalty and Competence, Dr Bawumia’s name can’t be ignored. He has served the party and served well, therefore deserves to lead the party”, he declared.
