The New Patriotic Party, NPP, Ashanti Regional Elections Committee has issued a release regarding the modalities of the upcoming Regional Executives election.
The committee which is chaired by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah has indicated that the picking of the nomination forms starts from Sunday 15th to Tuesday 17th May 2022.
Speaking to the Secretary of the Regional Executive Elections Committee, Kwabena Kokofu on Oyerepa Breakfast Show hosted by Nana Yaw Mensah Joel, he indicated that the forms are strictly not for sale. However, when one picks and submits for a chairmanship position, the person is required to pay the sum of 5,000 ghana cedis. And those that will file for all other positions shall also be made to pay an amount of 2,000 ghana cedis.
