In a bid to ensure violence-free elections, the National Election Security Task Force (NESTF) has engaged with the Commonwealth Observer Group mission in Ghana.
The meeting, led by the immediate past president of Botswana, His Excellency Mokgweetsi Masisi, aimed to brief the observer group on the task force’s preparations and arrangements for the upcoming elections.
Dr. George Akufo Dampare, representing the NESTF, emphasized the importance of a peaceful and secure electoral process. He appealed to the observer group to carry out their duties in a manner that does not compromise the operations of the election security task force.
The NESTF reiterated its commitment to ensuring that the security agencies remain fair, firm, and professional throughout the electoral process. This assurance is crucial in maintaining the trust of Ghanaians and international observers in the electoral process.
