Ace Ghanaian Gospel singer, Great Ampong has expressed his thoughts about the legalization of LGBTQI in Ghana and the implications the country will face should the nation legalize the practice.
The Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transgenders, Queers, and Intersexes {LGBTQi) community is seeking the legalization of their practice within the country without any stigmatization from any external force. However, the Anti-LGBTQ bill led by Sam Nartey George aims at criminalizing the practice within the country.
Speaking in an interview on Okay FM, Great Ampong revealed that God frowns on homosexuality and as such, the leaders must do anything within their power to abolish the practice in the country.
Speaking about his appearance especially his curly hair, Great Ampong debunked claims of being gay after he was asked why he chose to have curly hair since gays are mostly the ones found with that kind of hairstyle.
Great Ampong claims that he had his curly from infancy and as he grew up, he decided to make it more presentable by applying creams but he will not mention the name of the cream because they have not contracted his advertisement.
Meanwhile, the anti-gay Bill public hearing, which began a few days ago under the supervision of Parliament’s Constitutional, Legal, and Parliamentary Affairs Committee, has been temporarily halted.
