Deputy Communications Director of NPP, Mame Yaa Aboagye has slammed Mr. Barker-Vormaqor, the leader of the “#Fixthecountry” group over a post on his Facebook page commenting on the military d’état in Guinea.
Reacting to Barker-Vormawor comments, Maame Yaa Aboagye described his post as an unfortunate remark and a “threat to peace and stability in this country.”
“In spite of our disagreements, in our current democratic dispensation a coup d’état can never be justified, how much more being celebrated”, she stated.
Guinean Special Forces staged a coup on Sunday, capturing President Alpha Condé and announcing a nationwide curfew “until further notice” as well as the replacement of governors by the military.
“As the world is still in shock over the unfortunate events, some members of the biggest opposition party are excited about the current situation in Guinea.”
Mame Yaa Aboagye expressed disappointment in Barker-Vormawor, calling on him to retract and apologize to Ghanaians.
