Let all governments and state institutions render adequate accountability for the progress of Africa. Former President John Dramani Mahama has called on African leaders.
According to him, this is one of the most certain ways of addressing the systemic issues that Africans face.
“Absolute accountability, not just by government but by the institutions of state in service to the people and not themselves, will go a long way to remedy many of the systemic problems that affect our African people,” Mr Mahama tweeted after his presentation at the Liberty University Convocation in the United States.
He also noted that Africans require ethical and moral purity as driving principles.
“In Africa, we need ethical and moral uprightness as guiding principles, and a stoic fidelity to the truth and to do right by our people above all other considerations,” he suggested.
