The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Ahafo Ano South East, Thomas Owusu Ansah, has confidently asserted that Kwabena Agyapong, a hopeful flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will not secure a spot in the final five on August 26.
During a panel discussion on the Oyerepa Breakfast show, in response to the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) super delegates Conference, the DCE elaborated on the probability of Kwabena Agyapong not being among the chosen five out of the ten aspirants.
Mr. Ansah’s statement suggests that Kwabena’s chances of advancing to the final round are slim.
“Kwabena Agyapong will not be part of the final five …oh yes he doesn’t come in at all ….he can never be part ” he stated.
Despite expressing his fondness for him, stating that he admires his character and intellectual prowess, it is insufficient to secure him a spot among the final five.
“Oh I like him ….he is a nice gentleman and has great ideas…he is very intelligent but what I am saying is that he will not make it to the five at the end of the day ” he added.
Meanwhile, he asserted that Dr Bawumia will have about 80% of the votes on the election day.
“I want to emphatically tell you that about 65 to 80 per cent will go to Bawumia and that is a fact” he emphasized.
