A married man named Kwame Duah has been apprehended by the Kumasi Central Police after allegedly selling an unfinished building in Sokoban, located in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region.
The arrest was made following a public revelation made by his wife, Ama Homeda, during her appearance on the Oyerepa Afutuo show hosted by MFK on Thursday. Mrs. Homeda claimed that her husband had unlawfully sold their incomplete building in Sokoban for GHc40,000 and demanded that he reimburse the money.
During his appearance on the show, Mr. Duah admitted to selling the building due to extreme financial difficulties. When asked if he had informed his wife about the sale, he confirmed that he had, but she did not approve of the idea. However, due to mounting debts, he proceeded with the sale, fetching GH40,000.
Upon hearing Mr. Duah’s side of the story, the Oyerepa crew promptly contacted the police, resulting in his arrest. He is currently being held at the Kumasi Central Police Station for further investigation.
