Renowned Ghanaian journalist Kofi Adomah Nwanwani has publicly spoken about his eye injury for the first time during a press conference held today, March 14, 2025, at the Berekum Palace.
The event was attended by esteemed chiefs, queen mothers, and regents from across the country, demonstrating widespread support for the media personality.
In an emotional address, Kofi Adomah recounted the traumatic incident that led to his injury. He became visibly moved when recalling the response of Mr. Vincent Opare, General Manager of Angel FM Accra, when asked about the station’s support following the accident.
However, he expressed deep gratitude to Dr. Kwaku Oteng, owner of Angel FM, for his unwavering assistance during this difficult period. He also extended heartfelt appreciation to business mogul and philanthropist Ibrahim Mahama, who generously offered his private jet to aid in his medical emergency.
Kofi Adomah acknowledged the immense support from his colleagues, including Afia Pokuaa and Nana Yaa Brefo, whose contributions were invaluable throughout his recovery.
He reserved special appreciation for his wife, Nana Eturba, also known as Mrs. Miracle Adomah, a queen mother in Berekum. Her steadfast care and encouragement played a crucial role in his healing process.
The journalist’s ordeal began in January 2025 while covering an event in Dormaa, Bono Region. During a traditional musketry display, he was struck in the face by gunpowder, resulting in severe damage to one eye and partial vision loss in the other. He was later flown to Dubai for specialized medical treatment.
Kofi Adomah’s resilience and the overwhelming support from loved ones, colleagues, and benefactors have been instrumental in his recovery.
