In a bid to finance his presidential ambition, the member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency, Mr Kennedy Ohene Agyapong officially launched ‘Ken for President crowdfunding platform to support campaign.
The donation platform aimed at facilitating contributions, through crowdfunding, to enable him to secure victory in the upcoming presidential primaries was launched on Wednesday, September 27.
The platform provides individuals from all walks of life, and organizations with an accessible and transparent avenue to contribute funds towards Ken’s presidential bid.
During the launch at the national headquarters in Accra, Mr Sammy Crabbe Fundraising committee member and former 2nd National Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) emphasized the importance of collective efforts in driving positive change and the need for a reliable platform to channel donations effectively.
He stated that the platform is designed to harness the goodwill and generosity of Ghanaians who believe in Kennedy Agyapong and his ability to transform Ghana.
The chairman of the National Fundraising Committee, Mr George Oti-Bonsu said the reason for the move is to help Kennedy Agyapong’s campaign and also support his dream to become a president to save the entire country.
According to him, the lawmaker for Assin Central Constituency, Mr Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has a vision for the country, especially the youth so there is a need to support him.
He therefore called on the Muslim, and Christian communities, Religious bodies, and Traditional leaders, to come together and support. Kennedy Agyapong since he is the only person who can change Ghana.
Nana Bugyei, the special adviser for Kennedy Agyapong and committee member on the other hand urged more stakeholders to join the initiative and emphasized that every donation, regardless of size, would contribute to the overall mission of securing victory in the NPP presidential primaries and implementing the Great Transformation Plan for development.
Kennedy Ohene Agyapong is the only person who can manage the economy well and save Ghana from economic hardship looking at the factories he has built for the country and the kind of donations, he added.
