Popular Ghanaian actor, Alex Kofi Adu, also known as Agya Koo, has made a surprising revelation about the Kejetia Market Phase II project.
According to him, the project, which is currently about 70% complete under the Nana Addo-led NPP government, is significantly larger than Phase I, which was built by the NDC administration led by former President John Dramani Mahama.
Agya Koo made this statement on Oyerepa Breakfast Time on Friday, July 5, 2024, attributing the delay in completing the project to its massive size and the numerous shops and lorry terminals it encompasses.
He noted that the project’s enormity has made it challenging for the NPP government to complete it in about eight years since its commencement.
The Kejetia Market Phase II project was initiated to provide a modern and spacious trading environment for traders and commuters, but its prolonged completion has raised concerns about the government’s ability to deliver on its promises.
Many Kumasi residents have criticized the government for its slow pace in completing the project. The debate has reignited discussions about the government’s performance and its ability to deliver on its promises.
