On October 27, former President John Dramani Mahama will speak about Ghana’s struggling economy.
His aide Joyce Bawa Mogtari officially confirmed this in a post shared on her social media accounts.
The former President is expected to offer some remedies that, if implemented, will put Ghana on the path to economic recovery.
“Good morning everyone. John Mahama speaks on Ghana’s collapsed economy and the unprecedented hardships sweeping across the land and the way forward on Thursday 27th October at 7 pm”. According to the post.
In the meantime, it is uncertain whether the event will be virtual or in-person.
Even before this time frame, the former President had advised the government to seek a bailout from the IMF because things did not look good for Ghana’s economy, but his advice was deferred until things worsened before the government took the initiative.
John Dramani Mahama has suggested earlier that the current regime seek advice and take ideas from people with the necessary knowledge and experience in the country to improve the country; this has also fallen on deaf ears.
