Independent Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem North Constituency, Ohene Kwame Frimpong, has reaffirmed his commitment to prioritizing the welfare and interests of his constituents above all else.
In an interview with Oyerepa TV, he emphasized that while he is willing to collaborate with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in parliament, he will not compromise on any issue that negatively impacts his constituents.
“I’m committed to working with the NDC in parliament, but I will not compromise on any issue that negatively impacts my constituents. Their welfare and interests will always come first.”
Frimpong’s declaration comes after his historic victory in the 2024 parliamentary elections, where he defeated incumbent lawyer Andy Appiah Kubi of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Chief Kofi Asamoah of the NDC.
His win was seen as a significant upset, with many attributing it to his grassroots campaign and commitment to addressing the pressing needs of his constituents.
Frimpong’s background as a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist has equipped him with the skills and resources to drive positive change in his constituency.
His funding of the Agogo Central Mosque, a project that includes vast areas for extracurricular activities, large worshipping auditoriums, and essential facilities such as a clinic with a maternity ward, is a testament to his dedication to the well-being of his community.
