The National Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddie Blay has endorsed and declared his support for his National General Sectary, John Boadu to contest for his position again.
The ruling NPP has announced that its National Annual Delegates’ Conference will be held from Friday, July 15 to Sunday, July 17, 2022.
The event which is being organized to elect national officers for the Party will take place at the Accra Sports Stadium.
John Boadu is seeking re-election as the party’s National General Secretary.
According to Freddie Blay, John Boadu as the National Secretary has done a good job and needs to be re-elected.
“I will endorse John Boadu at any time when it comes to elections. I have worked with him and we did a good job,” Freddie Blay declared in an interview on Oyerepa Breakfast Time hosted by Kwesi Parker Wilson.
He asserted that John Boadu has an institutional memory of the party.
The Chairman, however, rubbished the accusation by some party members that John Boadu does not sit in the offices and therefore should be voted out.
“John Boadu is not an administrator to sit in the office. The party has an administrator. So John is not supposed to sit in the office for 23 hours. He has to go round the country.” Freddie Blay indicated.
Serving the party does not mean you should always be at the office. We don’t go to the office to mark register.
He explained that, 90 per cent of the members come to the party office with their personal problems.
“About 90 per cent of the members who come to the office, come a with their various personal problems.” The National Chairman Stated.
