KiDi, a Lynx Entertainment signee, has stated that he does not have liver illness and that the lyrics of his latest single, ‘I lied’, are not about any health issues he is facing.
His remark may put an end to the discussion regarding his allegedly deteriorating health in the last two months.
In a video on social media, KiDi told Lynx TV’s Stripped show that he has no liver disease.
“I want to state categorically, I don’t have a liver disease,” KiDi said.
KiDi’s condition became public in March when it was claimed in different wings of the media that the ‘Mon Babe’ hitmaker had suffered a stroke.
KiDi went mute after posting on social media in February that he had called off his impending US tour due to a health concern, giving the reports some credence.
His management issued a statement dismissing the reports and stating that KiDi was not suffering from stroke.
In a Facebook post on Friday, April 14, the 2022 VGMA Artiste of the Year claimed that he just took a hiatus from the music scene to focus on his health, vehemently refuting allegations of a stroke.
“A little under two months ago, I made the painful decision of cancelling my tour to take care of my health that included taking time off social media.
Nevertheless, the musician later fuelled further concern about his health when he dropped lyrics from his current song, ‘I Lied’, implying that he was suffering from liver cancer.
“If I show you my liver, You go take me to prayer. Don’t wait till I’m under 6 feet I’m gone…”
