To enhance the accuracy and reliability of government payroll records, the Office of the President has issued a directive to all heads of government institutions.
This directive requests detailed information on staff members who have been added to the payroll since December 7, 2024.
This initiative, part of the ongoing efforts under the John Mahama administration, is aimed at upholding transparency and accountability in the management of payroll processes.
Heads of government institutions are mandated to provide the full name, designation, employee identification number (if applicable), date of appointment, and date added to the payroll for each staff member added during the specified period.
The deadline for submitting this information to the Office of the President is January 31, 2025.
The directive underscores the significance of this data in safeguarding the integrity of the government’s payroll system.
Julius Debrah, Chief of Staff, has assured in a letter that any queries or clarifications regarding the directive can be addressed by contacting the Office of the President.
