As Ghana bids farewell to 2024 and welcomes 2025, Engr. Dr. Dzabaku Kudiabor Ocansey, Executive Director of the Center for National Interest and Research, has called on all Ghanaians to join hands in pursuit of national development goals.
In his New Year message, Dr. Ocansey emphasized the need for professionals from all fields to stand up for fairness and progress, prioritizing national interest over political affiliations. He envisioned a prosperous, inclusive, and resilient Ghana where everyone has equal opportunities to succeed.
To him, after 67 years of independence and 32 years of the 4th Republic, Ghana stands at a critical juncture. It’s time to break free from the shackles of extreme partisan politics, divisiveness, and corruption that have hindered our progress.
“We must unite and strive for a first-world status by 2057. Our collective goal is to achieve a developed nation status, where every Ghanaian has access to equal opportunities, and our rich diversity is celebrated. Let us join forces to turn this vision into reality. Together, we can overcome our challenges and build a brighter future for ourselves and generations to come.”
Dr. Ocansey also congratulated President-elect John Dramani Mahama on his re-election victory and expressed appreciation to opposition parties and their supporters for their role in Ghana’s democratic process.
The Center for National Interest and Research is reaffirming its commitment to driving Ghana’s growth through inclusive and collaborative approaches to promoting inclusive and collaborative social, economic, and political growth in Ghana.
He concluded by urging Ghanaians to work together towards a common goal, saying, “You are the backbone of our nation, and your energy, creativity, and innovation are crucial to driving our country’s progress. Let us work together to build a brighter future for Ghana.”
