The Deputy Managing Director of Metro Mass Transit, Nana Osei Bamfo has chastised the New Patriotic Party (NPP) executives for disturbances in the party towards the changing of constituency polling station albums.
According to him, it is needless for the party’s executives, thus regional and constituency chairpersons to manipulate the album in their favour.
Recently, a series of brutalities were recorded in various constituencies in the country in the just ended NPP polling station elections, as a result of the creation new albums by party chairmen, among other factors.
Reacting to those aggravations on Oyerepa Breakfast Show, hosted by Nana Yaw Mensah Joel, Nana Osei Bamfo said, developing a new album does not guarantee a win for any chairman who thinks so.
He said the works of any contestant (Chairman) will determine his fate going into the party’s regional executives elections weeks ahead.
“Your fate will depend on the work you have done in your constituency.”
He added that the executives, both the regional and constituency chairmen must live everything to the delegates to decide.
“If you’re doing what is right, you must live the delegates to decide. The development of a new album is just not necessary because it’s just a waste of time and resources. A new album doesn’t guarantee your win, it’s the work done that will speak for you.”
He advised the executives to give all party members the opportunity to contest their preferred positions without fear or favour.
“Every NPP member should be given the chance to vie for any position he or she desires — I want fairness to prevail in the NPP elections. The party executives must come together as one.” Osei Bamfo entreated.
