Many people in the olden days thought dancing was just for fun and not a money-making venture therefore dancers did not value the act.
However, the trend has overly changed, according to a dance group known as the Roses Triplets.
The group says people are making money via dance in Ghana in recent years.
The Triplets named, Rosemary Appiah, Rosina Appiah and Rosemond Appiah stated on Oyerepa Breakfast Time’s entertainment segment that they dance to make money for a living.
As per them, aside from dance being entertaining as well as boosting their confidence, they make a lot of money from the act.
“Dance boots your confidence, even if you’re sad, it makes you happy.”
When the host, MFK asked them if they make a lot of money from the act, Roses Triplets responded;
“Yes, Dance in Ghana nowadays pays. We don’t dance just for fun because nowadays dancing isn’t for free, we normally take money.”
They added that “We don’t have any manager, we do our own thing. People call us via our social media handles for shows.”
The dancers declared that although they get calls for shows, they don’t normally attend because they’re pursuing education at the tertiary level.
“Now we’re schooling so we don’t mostly go for shows”. Highlighting their ambition, Roses Triplets disclosed that,
“We want to be well known worldwide and create our dance academy.”
