CSIR-WRI Board Chairman urges Government to support entrepreneurs to create Jobs

The Board Chairman of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research – Water Research Institute (CSIR-WRI), Mr. Anthony Boateng, has appealed to government to support individuals with business ideas to establish companies in order to create jobs and reduce pressure on government.

Speaking in an exclusive interview at the 30th Anniversary Cocktail Reception of Magvlyn Industries Limited held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, Mr. Boateng said job creation must be prioritized.

“We need jobs. Government should help those who have ideas to open companies so that people can get jobs to ease the pressure on government,” he said.

He also advised Ghanaian business owners to be inclusive in their operations and not focus only on themselves.

“If you are doing business, don’t think about yourself alone. Look at those you can involve and bring on board so that everything will go well. Maybe you alone cannot go far, but involving others helps because wisdom is not in one person’s head,” he noted.

Mr. Boateng further expressed appreciation to partners and Ghanaians who have supported Magvlyn Industries to reach its 30-year milestone, and called on individuals to support local industries to enable the building of more factories to create jobs.
