Sarfo Raphael Patrick, the Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party and a well-known supporter of Dr. Bawumia has addressed the recent confrontation between himself and the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, COP Mr. Afful Boakye-Yiadom.
This disagreement occurred during the party’s super delegates voting when the police suspected Sarfo of taking photos of his vote, which goes against the electoral process.
In an interview on the Oyerepa Breakfast Show, Sarfo clarified that there was nothing wrong with his confrontation with the police commander. He emphasized that people did not fully understand what had transpired during that particular moment.
Furthermore, Sarfo stated that he had not violated any party directives but had simply attempted to acknowledge and greet his fellow party members.
“Our own people were just giving me fans and greetings …You know that because of my position people know me and I am popular …. So all I did was to wave back to them,” he stated.
“The Electoral Commissioner there even said I did no wrong which of course I know I did no wrong but I have been called by my party leaders and will go and explain to them what actually happened,” he added.
Raphael disclosed; “The attacks I have gotten after this election are so much both physical and spiritual”.
