Ahead of his third swearing-in as President of Ghana on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, the Ashanti Regional Clergy for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has congratulated President-Elect John Dramani Mahama on his re-election as President of the Republic of Ghana.
In a press conference held in Kumasi, the Secretary of the Ashanti Regional Clergy for NDC, Rev. Joseph Amo, on behalf of the association, extended warm and sincere greetings to President-Elect Mahama and his family.
“We, members of the Ashanti Regional Clergy for N.D.C wholeheartedly, send our warm and sincere greetings to you, your Excellency John Dramani Mahama now ordained as President of the Republic of Ghana and your family. We therefore offer our heartfelt congratulations on your re-election to the highest seat of the nation.
“Congratulations on your well-deserved victory.” We are delighted to see your return to the helm of affairs of our beloved nation with the reset agenda.”
The clergy expressed their confidence in President-Elect Mahama’s ability to continue making a positive impact in his new term, citing his past achievements and contributions to various communities and Ghana at large.
“We acknowledge your past achievements and contributions to various communities and Ghana at large. We cannot forget to mention some of your accomplishments and successes that made you a strong candidate for re-election. “The Nation Builder they call you.” – “Adwuma Wura.”
Your tireless efforts and dedication to the cause of building Ghana have not gone unnoticed. Your leadership and vision have been instrumental in most achievements which are clear and bare to every sincere personality.
Your commitment to values and principles has earned you the respect and admiration of your peers, so to speak. The Association then again expresses confidence in your ability to continue making a positive impact in your new term.”
Rev. Amo also urged President-Elect Mahama to carefully follow his determined good conscience covenant with God, so that he may prosper in everything he does.
The Ashanti Regional Clergy for NDC also used the opportunity to assure President-Elect Mahama of their support and prayers, quoting biblical scriptures that emphasized the importance of praying for leaders and the nation.
“We also offer support and encouragement as you take on new challenges and responsibilities. We have every confidence that you will continue to excel in your role.
We look forward to seeing the great things you will accomplish in your new term. We are committed to supporting you every step of the way. Your Excellency, your envisaged vision of the 24-hour economy is a connection of prosperity and the wellbeing of the unemployed folks.”
In conclusion, Rev. Amo reiterated the association’s commitment to supporting President-Elect Mahama and the NDC party, while also urging Ghanaians to pray for the nation and its leaders.
“We will always wish Ghana the best, and God bless our homeland Ghana,” Rev. Amo said.
