Some police officers and a court bailiff have reportedly stormed the premises of Metro TV to interrupt a live broadcast over a long-standing debt owed to Vodacom.
The alleged debt, which dates back over three years, has triggered legal action, leading to the issuance of a writ of execution permitting the seizure of assets.
Sources indicate that the dispute is a private business matter unrelated to politics, contrary to speculations circulating in the public domain.
The bailiff, armed with the court order, attempted to take possession of Metro TV’s property but was met with resistance from the station’s private security personnel.
While the exact amount owed remains undisclosed, a Citi News source recalled a similar incident some years ago, during which three vehicles belonging to the company were confiscated.
