Alhaji Jabir Kango, Deputy Administrator of the National Mosque of Ghana and member of office of national chief Imam of Ghana has made a heartfelt appeal for Muslims worldwide to come together in Unity.
He emphasized the importance of using Eid-Ul-Fitr celebrations as a tool for promoting peace and bringing the global Muslim community together.
Speaking at Eid fun fair bringing together 600 children from both Ghanaian and Arab backgrounds. Organized by the National Mosque of Ghana, with support from Jil Al Quran and Qatar Charity, the event aimed to promote unity and joy among the children during the Eid-Ul-Fitr festivities.
Kango highlighted the successful collaboration between Qatar charity and the directors of Jl Al Quran from Lebanon and Turkey, who jointly organized an Eid fun fair for children at the National Mosque in Ghana. This, he said, is a shining example of what can be achieved when Muslims work together towards a common goal.
In his message, Kango stressed that it is time for the Arab world to come together and promote peace, unity, and understanding among Muslims globally. He encouraged Muslims everywhere to use Eid celebrations as an opportunity to strengthen bonds and foster a sense of community.
Alimatu Sadia Seidu, Sponsorship Supervisor of Qatar Charity, emphasized the significance of the Eid fun fair for children in Ghana and Arab countries. According to Seidu, the event is a vital opportunity for kids to come together and experience joy, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Seidu noted that many children lack a supportive family environment or a safe space to celebrate Eid. The fun fair provides a welcoming atmosphere where kids can mingle, share food and candies, and participate in activities like face painting.
Describing the event as “excellent,” Seidu stressed the importance of ensuring its continuation on an annual basis, highlighting its positive impact on the lives of countless children.
