Controversial Ghanaian political commentator Appiah Kubi, widely known in public circles as Appiah Stadium, has issued a public apology to his wife after a recent social media scandal involving allegations from a TikTok content creator who claimed he attempted to invite her into his private space.

The outspoken activist addressed the issue in an interview, expressing regret over how the situation escalated and insisting that he did not want the matter to damage his family’s reputation. While trying to clarify his side, he openly admitted to being unfaithful in his marriage but said he struggles to keep such relationships hidden from public exposure.

He stated: “I want to apologise to my wife that this has come out in a way that suggests I was going to be unfaithful to her. I’m asking her to forgive me. I’m not a virgin, but I don’t know how to cheat properly. When I get involved with someone, I take it personally, so I end up getting exposed easily. I do cheat on my wife sometimes, but I don’t know how to do it secretly.”

According to him, part of the controversy has been fueled by individuals who allegedly connected him to women and later spoke about the same encounters on social media, worsening public perception of the situation.

He added: “Many people have been talking online, including some of the men who introduced the women to me. They are the same ones discussing what they benefited from me.”

Appiah Stadium also argued that he should not be judged by moral or religious standards, insisting that he is not a spiritual leader and should not be held to expectations reserved for clergy.

He further stated: “Even if I liked the lady and I decided to go ahead, I’m not a pastor or a saint.”

The comments have triggered heated debate online, with critics questioning his honesty and behaviour, while supporters argue that his openness reflects the reality of many public figures who struggle to separate private actions from public scrutiny.
